Cyber Security / Cyber Space
Our targeted groups will experience hands-on training taught by qualified and highly experienced instructors utilizing applicable real-world instruction relevant to the current cybersecurity environment. Instructors will utilize innovative teaching methods that consider inherent challenges within our targeted group’s environment. The program is designed as a hybrid adult learning format which will include both theory and practical work. Students will acquire an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity trends through exposure to actual security threat situations. The program utilizes “real-world” labs for students to develop their skillsets to not only attain their baseline certifications but also to perform cyber tasks as a true professional.
Learning Objectives: Students are equipped with in-demand cybersecurity skills in the following areas: Incident response, Ethical Hacking, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance, and prepping students to pass the CompTIA Security+ certification exam.
Program Description
The cybersecurity training program is divided into two main parts training and career counseling:
Cybersecurity Training
Train students to fill in-demand cybersecurity jobs in the following areas:
Incident response
Ethical Hacking
Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance
CompTIA Security+ certification training
Career/mentorship Counseling
Provide cybersecurity Mentors to coach students about cyber jobs
Lifelong access to cyber resources including labs
Assist students with development of professional cyber-related resumes
Conduct mock job interviews to ensure students are prepare for actual interviews
